Forming Films for Syringes & Needles
Nylon forming films are typically used to package sharp items such as syringes and needles, providing enhanced puncture and abrasion resistance. A variety of Nylon forming films are available, including surface Nylon and buried Nylon options to provide the optimum packaging solution.
Nylon DS
Nylon DS is a surface Nylon forming film which provides strong abrasion and puncture resistance. The film offers a wide processing window for efficient operation of packaging lines and is designed to seal to uncoated medical papers to give a strong fibre-free peel.
Can be sterilised with either Ethylene Oxide sterilisation or Radiation sterilisation methods.
Buried Nylon BNE
Buried Nylon BNE is suited for the packaging of hard or sharp devices wher puncture and abrasion resistance is required. The forming characteristics of our Buried Nylon BNE film offers minimal reversion and will maximise corner thickness. Buried Nylon BNE will seal to uncoated medical papers to provide a consistent clean peel.
Can be sterilised with Ethylene Oxide sterilisation. Not suitable for Radiation sterilisation.
Nylon NL & NLS
Nylon NL & NLS are surface Nylon films designed to seal to coated papers or Tyvek®, with a high quality peel upon opening the pack. Nylon NL is suited for larger devices wheras Nylon NLS favours smaller ones. Nylon NLS features a slip layer, designed for improved efficiencies on auto loading processes
Can be sterilised with Ethylene Oxide sterilisation. Not suitable for Radiation sterilisation.
